BAM Receives Local, Regional, and National Awards
The Boise Art Museum is pleased to announce the acceptance of multiple awards in our 80th anniversary year. These awards have provided local, regional, and national recognition for BAM.

City of Boise – Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Arts and History – Spotlight Award
In September, the Museum received the Mayor’s Arts and History Spotlight Award. BAM was privileged to be among the celebrated honorees in our city.

Western Museums Association – Charles Redd Center for Western Studies Award for Exhibition Excellence
Minidoka: Artist as Witness was selected for the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies Award for Exhibition Excellence, which Executive Director Melanie Fales accepted at an international conference of the Western Museums Association in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Redd Center representatives stated that the exhibition “truly exemplifies exhibition excellence as it is an important examination of a complex issue as it impacts a major Western state.” Minidoka: Artist as Witness was made possible by community collaborations and brought people together around shared values concerning civil liberties and human rights. Generous local and national funding was evidence of the universal importance of these topics to our communities.
