Self-guided public school group visits are limited to a maximum of 15 students per hour and are typically scheduled between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., depending on availability.
Each prescheduled self-guided registration includes:
- Free Admission for two adult chaperons* (One adult chaperon per 10 students is required.)
- Free Admission for students (15 student maximum)
*Payment is required for additional adults.
Self-guided groups enter through the FRONT entrance of the Museum. Chaperons must stay with students at all times.
College | University Groups
Self-guided college and university groups must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Admission fees apply. A partnership with Boise State University provides free individual admission for Boise State University students, faculty, and staff through August 19, 2025 with their valid Boise State identification cards—advance scheduling is still required for groups. Please contact BAM at 208-345-8330 ext. 118 to make a reservation at least two weeks in advance.
Private Schools | Co-Ops | Home Schools | Home School Groups

Unscheduled Visits
To ensure high-quality experiences, unscheduled groups are not admitted to the Museum when their visit conflicts with already-scheduled groups and BAM group policies. If unscheduled groups are granted entry based on current group attendance, regular Admission fees apply. Please contact BAM at 208-345-8330 ext. 118 to make a reservation at least two weeks in advance.

Schedule Early and Let Us Know if You Need to Cancel
BAM serves as many groups as possible through pre-scheduled visits. For the safety of visitors and artwork, BAM has a limited number of group visits available each day. Cancellations with less than two weeks’ notice will be charged the full visit fee.
