Wendy Red Star is an artist of Crow and Irish descent whose work focuses on the historical and contemporary intersection of Native American ideologies and colonialist structures. Red Star incorporates photography, fiber arts, sculpture, film, and performance to provide her own perspective on the archival narratives that she researches. Her work has been exhibited at numerous venues nationally and internationally, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and in 2018 she was awarded a Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship.

This program is organized in partnership
with Boise State University.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Idaho Humanities Council, a State-based Program of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
