Support the Boise Art Museum in its 75th Year

It is hard to believe that it has been 75 years since BAM was born!  All those years ago, community members dreamed of a place in Boise where you could view outstanding works of visual art – a place that could bring people together, encourage creativity and curiosity, and inspire the imagination.  Even during the Great Depression, this organization was formed “to create in the minds of residents an increased appreciation of the visual arts,” and it was seen as a worthwhile investment for the community.

The heart and soul of the Museum are the individuals who are transformed and inspired by the exhibitions and educational programs we offer at every stage of life.  Each year, thousands of community members take part in BAM’s dazzling exhibitions, educational programs for youth and adults, and the preservation and growth of the Museum’s outstanding Permanent Collection.  Through these programs and activities, BAM’s commitment to our community, visitors, artists, volunteers, members and donors is more visible than ever before.

After more than seven decades, BAM still fulfills an essential need for our community by nurturing forms of visual arts and creativity that exist nowhere else in Idaho.  BAM continues to be a place where you can exercise your imagination, express your thoughts and emotions, and explore what it means to be human.

Since 1937, loyal and ongoing supporters like you have helped BAM spark wonder in the minds of people of all ages.  Boise Art Museum continues to thrive because you are a part of it.  You know that art experiences expand our understanding of ourselves and our world, and play a significant role in shaping the quality of life for a strong, healthy community.

Thank you for supporting the Museum and ensuring that people in our community continue to learn, create and connect at BAM.
