Back this summer by popular demand, this is the sixth class of its type at BAM. This hands-on course offers classroom teachers and their aides the opportunity to learn strategies for actively engaging students with works of art and to create their own artwork using a variety of media and techniques. Brainstorming sessions provide invaluable time for sharing ideas for using the activities to teach the required classroom curricula. A variety of media and new projects will be explored this year. |

This is the seventh year BAM has conducted this popular five-day institute. This year, teachers will experience new ideas for implementing active learning strategies in the classroom. This program is presented in collaboration with area museums and community organizations. Teachers will paint, play educational games, evaluate new educational materials, explore exhibits and share ideas for using educational resources throughout Idaho with their students. There will be ample walking throughout the week. |
